what is the difference between 32 bit or 64 bit?

We have heard these two terms many times in the different ones of computers that are currently commercialized in the market, always leaving us in doubt as to their true meaning.

It is not just a number or a word that differentiates them from one side to the other, but rather it is the type of technology and strength that the one handles the other.

Most computers that are currently promoted in the technology market are 32 bits since most of these will be directed to homes and offices to perform simple tasks such as preparing electronic sheets, word processors, PowerPoint presentations and other similar ones. Not so the 64-bit computers that are generally dedicated to professional work, which can be seen working on projects such as architecture, engineering, graphic and industrial design, to name just a few.

The most noteworthy differences are in terms of the RAM memory capacity that another computer supports, since for example a 32-bit one generally supports a maximum of 4 GB, not being the case for 64-bit computers, which in some specific cases depending on the configuration it has, it can support over 16 GB, since its tasks are truly regional and precision.

But on the other hand, there are few applications that are compatible with a 64-bit platform, which is why they are not computers that should be used for simple jobs and functions at home or office.

To be able to form a 64-bit computer, the entire system must be compatible, that is, from the motherboard, the processor and even the operating system to be installed must have 64-bit characteristics, since if that order is not saved, the System-wide compatibility will be too unstable.
